Level: Advanced beginner plus
Class Skills: Comfortable with basic knit stitches

What to bring with you: 5mm (US 8) crochet hook, 5mm double pointed needles, 5mm circular needle (60cm long), aran/worsted weight yarn, darning needle, notepad and pen.

Slip stitch patterning
Slip stitch colour patterning provides a foolproof way for even novice knitters to create beautiful colour work. Knitters will start with a simple corrugated rib, and move through to more complex colour patterns and tweed effects.
When: Wednesday, 9.30 -

What to bring with you: 4mm circular needle (60cm long) or straight needles , double knitting weight yarn in at least two different shades, darning needle, notepad and pen.

Shaping up traditional patterns
Traditional cable and Aran patterns are well loved around the world. However, the traditional construction styles are not always very flattering. In this class, knitters will explore methods of adding shaping to traditional patterns that will enhance the fit while still maintaining the pattern. Shoulder shaping will also be looked at to create flattering shoulder shaping.
When: Thursday, 9.30 -
Level: Intermediate plus
Class Skills: Comfortable with knit stitches, prior experience of cable work necessary. Should have knit at least one sweater.

Short rows
Short rows are used to create shaping in many patterns. In this class we will explore how short rows work (using both w&t and Japanese method) as well as exploring when and how they can be added to your knitting.
