UK Ravelry Day 2009
The first UK Ravelry day took place in Coventry on Saturday 6th June 2009.
After an initial idea in the car in January 2009 about how great it would be to meet in person friends from Ravelry, it soon grew to a large event with
35 stalls selling British wool and related products,
knitting stars including Meg Swansen, Jared Flood, Debbie Bliss & Woolly Wormhead,
classes,
talks,
demonstrations,
Fashion show,
Lots and lots of tea and cake.
It was all organised from our dining room in the space of five months and was sponsored by the Knitter magazine. Yarn for the workshops was generously donated by Jamieson and Smith, and bluefaced.com
